Zs 042 Ds3231 Rtc Module
Code for zs 042 i found some code on the tronixstuff website to make this module work.
Zs 042 ds3231 rtc module. I m working on a project which requires an rtc clock. The tcxo provides a stable and accurate reference clock and maintains the rtc to within 2 minutes per year accuracy from 40 c to 85 c. The ds3231 rtc module used in this project is shown in the image below. Ds3231 rtc module pinout click the image to enlarge it rtc means real time clock.
The arduino card measures the elapsed time since the module was turned on in ms. Before uploading i un commented the setds3231time line and adjusted the clock. The time clock module or ds3231 is a module that measures the time dependently or independently of his arduino card through of his cell. Introducing the real time clock module.
The module comes assembled ready to use with battery supplied. The ds3231 is a serial rtc driven by a temperature compensated 32khz crystal oscillator. In the ds3231 module there is a provision for you to connect a battery using the battery holder provided on the back. The real time clock module is the one in the figure below front and back view.
This post is about how to use the ds1307 real time clock rtc module with the arduino. The tcxo frequency output is available at the 32khz pin. Since rtc is all about maintaining time irrespective of the power supply you can connect a 3v cr2032 lithium battery to the rtc ic to keep the clock ticking. Find out if it can be powered at 3 3 v and 5 v and whether you can use cr2032 or lir2032 backup battery.
You can also follow this guide for other similar modules like the ds3231 rtc. Rtc modules are simply time and date remembering systems which have battery setup which in the absence of external power keeps the module running.
